Thunderstorm.tech test results, explained
Thunderstorm.tech, the seller’s site, reports four tests with very large results, such as carbon monoxide (CO) down 97–98% in two of them and oxygen up 6,833% in one. These are the seller’s numbers: the page does not include full reports, who paid, or complete units, and the one university thesis we cite measured much smaller changes.
Seller claim
What the page claims overall
The page is headed “Independently Tested. Independently Verified. Three Continents.” It says carbon monoxide was cut by up to 98% and carbon dioxide (CO₂) by up to 99.9%, and that oxygen rose in every test because pollutants are “converted directly into oxygen.”
The largest CO₂ figure in its own tables is 99.56% (Clearwater). The 99.9% figure in its tables is for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at Dartford.

Plain definition
Who ran each test, and what is missing
Dartford, UK: the page says Element, a testing company, tested a fitted engine at the Land Logical facility, and shows an image it calls the original source document. The engine type and load are not given, and the page does not say who paid.
Clearwater, Florida: a generator at 60 hertz (Hz) under a 2,400 watt (W) load. The tester is not named. Several cells have no unit or no before value, so some of the percentages cannot be checked from the table.
Star Cement, UAE: a Honda 5 kW gasoline engine at the company’s Al Nakla Mines Workshop, run in partnership with Strike Foundation (UK), per the page.
Test 13: Plasmoid Power’s own test on a 5,500 W generator under a 2,200 W load, five runs over four hours. The page says it is self-certified, signed by the company’s chief executive. The first run was left out of the averages, and hydrocarbons went up. The page gives no numbers for this test.
Plain definition
How to read “+6,833% oxygen”
The number comes from the Dartford table: oxygen went from 0.15% to 10.40% of the exhaust sample. That is a rise of about 10 percentage points. Because the starting value is so small, the same rise works out to a percent change of about 6,833%. The seller’s own Star Cement table lists ordinary outside air at 21.07% oxygen.
A gas analyzer reports concentration: how much of each gas is in the sample, not how much the engine made. A sample with more oxygen and less of everything else would also look this way if outside air mixed into it. The published summary does not say how that was ruled out, which a full report could show.
Measured
How the university thesis compares
A 2026 master’s (M.S.) thesis at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University measured carbon monoxide (CO) about 34% lower at idle, with no significant change in carbon dioxide (CO₂) or oxygen, and a 9.67% lower fuel-use rate on a small generator.
So the thesis agrees that CO fell, but by far less, and it did not see the large CO₂ and oxygen changes the seller reports. Different engines, loads, analyzers and methods may explain part of the gap.
Plain definition
What would make these results checkable
Full reports for each test, naming the engine, the load, the analyzer, its calibration and who paid. Units on every number, and before values that are not blank. Raw readings, not just averages.
Most of all, a repeat by a lab with no stake in the result. The thesis author recommends third-party validation by a nationally recognized testing laboratory.

Quick answers
- Are the Thunderstorm.tech test results independent?
- The seller calls them independent. We could not check who paid for any of them, the Clearwater tester is not named, and Test 13 is self-certified by Plasmoid Power.
- What does “+6,833% oxygen” mean?
- In the Dartford table, oxygen in the exhaust sample went from 0.15% to 10.40%, about 10 percentage points. Because the starting value is tiny, the percent change is about 6,833%.
- Did the university test confirm the seller’s results?
- No. The Embry-Riddle master’s thesis (2026) measured carbon monoxide (CO) about 34% lower at idle and no significant change in carbon dioxide (CO₂) or oxygen.
